David Starmer was named VP of Information Technology for the Back Bay Restaurant Group in April 2008. Mr. Starmer provides senior leadership for the strategic use of information technology in support of the group’s seven unique fine and casual dining brands. He has held similar positions with a regional QSR and an international management consulting firm. He brings over 15 years of strong IT and business transformation leadership to the position. Starmer established his career in the hospitality sector while serving as the Founding Director of Information Systems for the Thomas Jefferson Foundation (Monticello) in Charlottesville, VA.
Starmer is an advisory board member of International Food Service Technology Exposition (FS/TEC) and the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia. He is a former chair and active member of the NRA IT Executive Study Group. A North Carolina native, Starmer earned a graduate business degree from the University of Virginia and a BA from Wake Forest University. He resides in Newton Center, MA.
