Thomas "Skip" Smith, BS, MS, ARM
Global Director of Risk Management

Skip Smith is currently the Director of Risk Management for AFC Enterprises, Inc. which is the franchisor and operator of Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen with 1,845 restaurants in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam and 24 foreign countries. Currently oversees all Risk Management activities centering around Insurance, PCI Security, Cash Management , Claims and Safety.

Previously Skip was Regional Director Safety & Environmental Affairs for Terminix which
is a subsidiary of Service Master Corporation . Skip has served in multiple roles with other companies such as Director Risk Management ,Associated Distributor Inc., Risk Manager Atlanta Housing Authority, Regional Director Safety and Loss Prevention Domino's Pizza Inc., and Corporate Manager Safety and Loss Control for Marriott International.

Skip earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Radford University and a
Master of Science in Occupational Safety and Health from West Virginia University College of
Business and Economics. He carries a (ARM) Associate Risk Management certification with over twenty years of Risk Management professional experience in fast-paced industries which included, retail, transportation, supply chain management, building materials, hospitality and manufacturing.
