Vice President of Technology, The Americas
Monika Nerger has been engaged in the technology and hospitality industries for the past 25 years. She has published several articles on subjects ranging from legacy application modernization, CRM in the gaming industry, to the use of satellite communications onboard cruise ships.
She worked internationally with Pan Pacific Hotels, KPMG Consulting and Royal Caribbean Cruise lines, before assuming her current position as Vice President of Technology, The Americas, for Mandarin Oriental Hotels. In her current role she oversees regional responsibilities for technology in Mandarin Oriental's properties in New York, Washington, Miami, Bermuda, San Francisco, Riviera Maya and Boston, as well as newly opened Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas in City Center.
She holds a Masters Degree in Business as well as an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, and is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma.
Monika is currently the co-chair of the In-Room Technology Workgroup for HTNG, a member AH&LA's Technology and e-Business Committee, and hospitality Board advisor for Gaming & Leisure magazine.
