President, Hotal Management
Cormac O'Modhrain is the President of Hotel Management at the CIM Group in Los Angeles. In his role he oversees all aspects of the company's hotel operations, investments and hotel development opportunities. The CIM Group specializes in Urban Community Investment and boasts over 3,000 hotel rooms in its portfolio. In a hospitality career that has spanned almost 30 years Cormac served as general manager at Hyatt Corporation for the opening of the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa. He has enjoyed an exceptional 11 year career at the Hyatt Corporation, serving as general manager at the Park Hyatt Century City and the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis. Cormac's exemplary management skills were recognized by the Hyatt Corporation nominating him three times for the coveted recognition as "general manager of the year". Previously, Cormac's hospitality career also included 13 years in various management positions with Forte Hotels in England, Movenpick Hotels and Restaurants in Switzerland as well as hotels in his native Ireland where he was educated at Irelands prestigious Shannon College of Hotel Management. Cormac has served on many civic and philanthropic boards including two terms on the California Tourism Commission. He currently serves on the California Hotel & Lodging Association Board and most recently, with his wife Ali and a group of Christian friends created a not for profit organization, "US2UGANDA4life" to serve a small Mission and Orphanage in Masaka Uganda. Since coming to America in 1991 Cormac has worked almost exclusively in California where both of his children, Ciara and Connor were born, a place they are all very proud to call home.
